1st Steps Clinic’s lab-quality pregnancy testing looks for the hormone hCG. HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone present during pregnancy. Our hCG tests are 97 percent to 99 percent accurate and can detect hCG at very low levels when pregnancy is in the earliest stage.
How early can your test detect whether I’m pregnant?
To ensure the most accurate results, clients should have missed a period in order to qualify for pregnancy testing free of charge at our center. If you have not missed a full period, the hCG hormone level could be too low to detect and may potentially produce a false negative. Once you have missed a full period, our lab-quality tests are guaranteed to be 97 percent to 99 percent accurate.
When will I receive my test results?
You will receive your pregnancy test results during your appointment.
What can I expect during my appointment?
We hope that our center and staff will make you feel at home during your time at Starkville Pregnancy Care Center. When you first arrive, a trained Client Advocate will go over some paperwork with you. We understand that each client has different needs and that each situation is unique, so we tailor our time with you to help you as much as we can.
If I am pregnant, what’s my next step?
If your pregnancy testing result is positive, our medical staff may offer you a limited OB ultrasound at no cost to you. This procedure will provide you with valuable information and medically confirm your pregnancy.
